I absolutely love it when a family invite me to come and play for the afternoon, especially when there are two super excited active little boys who like to climb trees, and anything else for that matter.
That’s exactly what happened when Jo got in touch with me. They were looking for a photographer who would come and spend an afternoon with them whilst they were playing, and help them create a photo collage of their boys and them as a family, that wasn’t forced or studio based. Ding! That is right up my street! So we planned an afternoon of fun and games, and I loved every minute of it.
Zach and Toby are fully of energy, fun and life. We had a fantastic afternoon climbing trees, bouncing on the trampoline, blowing bubbles and generally playing rough and tumble. I can honestly say I was sad to go home I had so much fun. (I’ve been invited back by the boys to play without my camera, and I think you’ll find me there one afternoon very soon).
Here are some glimpses at the fun we had.

Zach showing his amazing confidence for climbing trees!

Catch those bubbles!

Let the trampoline fun begin!

Time for a bit of DIY.

More tree climbing in the park, in the secret den, sorry I can’t tell you where it is I am sworn to secrecy, but trust me it’s cool and very reminiscent of my childhood!

There is just so much cheekiness in this one I love it! Toby you never fail to make me smile!

Climbing trees is a serious business!

Getting mum and dad on their own was a challenge, but we finally managed it.

Time to go home

The family are moving to Australia in September, Bryon family, I had a blast and I for one will miss you! Take care and have an amazing time down under. x

Late on Saturday afternoon I met up with Charlie, Jason and the very adventurous Olivia for some summer portraits. Nearby we have an amazing old airfield that is no longer in use. It provides some fantastic locations for photographs, from wide open runway space to overgrown grass and small woodlands areas.
Olivia had a field day running around and exploring all that was on offer – and at one point took it upon herself to explore some very tall grass. If it wasn’t for her pretty pink top we could have lost sight of her in there.
Here are some of my favourites from the session:

Last Thursday I spent the afternoon, down by the river in St Neots, with Pat and Neil.
Pat and Neil are both music teachers and are planning a small intimate wedding in August. Neil’s dad is the pastor at the church where they are getting married and he’ll be officiating the ceremony that day, so it’s going to be a really special ceremony.
Pat gave me free reign to be creative with the her photos, and present her with something different. Here are some of my favourites:

At the weekend I had the absolute joy of photographing Gemma and Claire at Hopton on Sea, Norfolk. These two knew exactly what they wanted and how to pose for the camera. It felt like a session for America’s Next Top Model!
Choosing my favourites was really hard, but I just love these images in black and white.
We had so much fun, Gemma and Claire you were real super model stars!
