I often give lifestyle portrait shoots as prizes for local charity events and last year I gave a session to 33 Engineer Regiment for one of their many charity fundraising events.
Tina and her family were the lucky winners, but it’s only recently that we have been able to get together, and we picked a fantastic sunny Sunday afternoon for their portraits!
They chose a location which is new for me, a lovely walk which starts at Debden Church and goes through the fields over a small lake and along the way contains lots of lovely locations for some fun portraits. It was so lovely and as it’s close to home it will be a great new walk for me to take Lily over the summer.
Here are some of my favourites from their session:
These two just love being in front of the camera, here’s a little series of them both that needed no direction from me for them to ‘work it’!

I had a fabulous time on Saturday, with Jen, her fabulous Weddington Boots, (shortly to be featured in an interview on the blog) and Sadie, the most fabulous and patient horse I know.
We were capturing images for the forth coming Weddington Boots interview in it’s a Perfect Wedding Magazine (See April’s Edition). We got to play out in the mud, with a wedding dress and a horse!!
Another stunning Kiss Album has arrived, Yipppeee!
This little beauty is not a wedding album but a stunning album of Ellen, Peter and Charlotte’s lifestyle portrait session. It’s always heart warming when clients want to do something special with their images and having a bespoke album created to record these special moments is super cool. It means instead of one or two images in frames or on the wall, you can have more and not only that, but they aren’t languishing on a hard drive rarely seeing the light of day.
There is something really special about having an album that you can take anywhere and share with friends and family, curl up on the sofa looking at time and time again, or displaying proudly on your coffee table.
Here it is in all it’s super cool glory:
These soft kiss albums have softer less rigid pages than the traditional kiss albums, but as you can see the pages are still beautiful made for turning.
Want to see inside? Here is a slide-show of their album so you can have a peek too:
If you would like to have an album of a special occassion or event please get in touch.
I recently spent the afternoon with Ellen, Peter and baby Charlotte at their beautiful home. Charlotte is a bouncing 3 months, and a real cutie.
Unfortunately she used most of smiles when I arrived, instead of saving them for the camera. Ellen thinks probably because both her and Peter speak to Charlotte in Dutch and I came in speaking english and sounding very different.
A model in the making Charlotte has the ability to look very hard at the camera with a serious face.
Ellen and Peter wanted me to capture some natural shots of the 3 of them at home and to record Charlotte as she was then. She has already changed so much.
Big lovers of black and white images we did a mix in this session, here are the black and white images.
And now some beautiful colour images:

On the 24 October, I spent a great day with the fabulous Suzie Rice, Style Coach and make up artist, and 3 of her amazing clients. Everyone had some pampering, with their hair and make up done by Suzie and then photographs by me.
It was such a nice day with a really relaxed atmosphere, lots of laughter and good old girly chat, not to mention chocolate biscuits!
We’re doing it all again on the 21 November, so if you are interested in having some ‘you’ time before the Christmas chaos click here to book your place and recieve special discounted rates.
