Cambridge Wedding Photograher – Emma and James Wedding – Ely
Monday, 31st August 2009Back at the beginning of the month I had a fantastic afternoon photographing Emma and Jame’s intimate and relaxed wedding. These guys are just so at ease with each other and their family and friends made me feel so welcome, it really was a perfect afternoon. Even the grey skies, which annoyingly turned blue just as I got halfway home from their reception, couldn’t dampen the magic in the air!
The Registry office in Ely, is an old school house and provides a really intimate location for wedding ceremonies. After the ceremony we moved on to the green behind the impressive Ely cathedral for the group pictures. Emma, James and I (Oh and not forgetting the driver of the surprise vintage car for Emma) then went around some of the back streets of Ely to get some intimate portraits.
Then it was off to their beautiful house which they designed and built themselves, where their garden had been transformed with a Marquee and everything else you would need for a great reception. It was such a special intimate afternoon, full of fun and laughter and I was sorry to leave.
Here’s a glimpse at their day:

Charlie eagerly waiting for Mummy to get out of the car

The patient groom, Emma stylishly kept him waiting!

The cookies for the kids looked amazing and so tempting, I suddenly wanted to be a child again!

Family and Friends can see more of Emma and James’ pictures here, and orders placed before the 28 September 2009 receive a 10% discount.
Emma and James, hope you had a fantastic time in Egypt, thank you for allowing me to capture your day and making me feel so welcome.
